My connection with Public Value started in Portugal, because the theme of Public Value really grape me. It’s why I specialized myself in that. I remember in November 2018, Luís Newton, Timo Meynhardt and myself meet in Vienna at the Global Peter Drucker Forum, got in touch with each other and discuss how to spread the gospel of Public Value.

For our Day 2 in Malapascua Island, we rented a motorcycle to go around the island on our own. We were offered by a lot of seamen there for a boat ride but we preferred the motorcycle since Tonet is still super seasick with our boat ride going to the island (and it is way cheaper).

Since we only have until 12 PM, our check out time, to go around, we managed to go to 2 famous and such beautiful spots in the island:

❣️Malapascua Lighthouse - “an open hill 18 meters above sea level on the northwest of the island”
❣️Langub Beach - "a fantastic beach of large size with fine sand and very few rocks"

At the Alternative Data Conference in New York City this year, Dr. Gerwin Schalk presented to a crowd of 800 buyside firms. The results were outstanding and a first-place winner in the crowd vote for 'Best Prediction'

You will hear an arrangement on 'Wees mijn Leidsman, trouwe Heere' by the Kamper organist Klaas Jan Mulder (1930 - 2008), played on the sample set of the famous Hinsz organ in the Bovenkerk in Kampen, via sampler Sweelinq.

Gerwin uses here, among other things, the over-familiar combination of the flutes 8', 4' and 3' and the tremulant as the Cantus Firmus. But also the beautiful Sesquialter of the Choir and the Trumpet 8' of the Hoofdwerk return in this performance. Then this chorale arrangement builds up to a finale with an impressive 'full organ'. Klaas Jan Mulder also plays this arrangement on one of his CDs from the Bovenkerk in Kampen.

Jan Willem Docter studeerde orgel, kerkmuziek, koordirectie en schoolmuziek aan de conservatoria te Enschede, Leeuwarden en Groningen. Na zijn orgelstudie volgde hij enige jaren orgellessen bij Willem Hendrik Zwart te Kampen. Docter gaf als organist, pianist en dirigent concerten in binnen- en buitenland, bracht 4 cd’s uit en werkte mee aan verschillende cd-projecten en radio-uitzendingen. Als vaste organist is hij verbonden aan de Marienkirche van Ahaus (DL). Jan Willem Docter is als christenmusicus een volbloed romanticus. Hij is altijd op zoek naar betekenis en emotionele lading achter de noten en is niet tevreden wanneer deze niet overduidelijk waarneembaar zijn voor de toehoorder.

Jan Willem Docter studied organ, church music, choir conducting and school music at the conservatories in Enschede, Leeuwarden and Groningen. After his organ studies, he followed lessons for several years with Willem Hendrik Zwart in Kampen. As an organist, pianist and conductor, Docter gave concerts at home and abroad, released 4 CDs and participated in various CD projects and radio broadcasts. He is a permanent organist at the Marienkirche of Ahaus (DL). As a Christian musician, Jan Willem Docter is a thoroughbred romantic. He is always looking for meaning and emotional charge behind the notes and is not satisfied when these are not clearly visible to the listener.
